We are thrilled to announce that our Opening Night Conversation with the legendary British photographer Martin Parr will now take place in the beautiful Grand Hall at the Royal Danish Academy of Art on Kongens Nytorv.
The talk – which sold out in record time – has sparked great interest, and we are therefore expanding the event in collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy of Art to accommodate more guests. However, photography enthusiasts need to move fast if they want to join us for this unique event because tickets are selling very fast.
The relocation of the talk to our generous neighbor at Kongens Nytorv reflects the festival’s growing presence in the heart of the city and the festival is thrilled for this new partnership.

Exhibitions & events across Kongens Nytorv and city center
This year, Copenhagen Photo Festival unfolds across Kongens Nytorv, from exhibitions inside the Royal Danish Theater and in the surrounding public space, to thought-provoking talks and events hosted by some of our exhibition partners in Copenhagen and now also with this important nyew partnership with the Royal Academy of Art.
In addition to the opening talk, festival guests can look forward to a special presentation by the curator from the Art Museums of Skagen, held in The French Embassy at the elegant Thott Mansion also on Kongens Nytorv. The exclusive talk is developed in collaboration with the French Institute specifically for the festival programme.
The Opening Night Talk with Martin Parr will take place on 12 June at 18.00 at The Royal Danish Academy of Art, and the talk at The French Embassy takes place same day at 17.00.
