Newsroom - a group exhibition by Andreas Olesen, Bertil Trolle, E.B. Itso, Elisabeth Molin, Fryd Frydendahl, Joachim Bøgedal, Paul John, Rebecca Krasnik and Sara Lubich.
For the window exhibition space Galleri 1,4 m3, artist Sara Lubich has initiated the group exhibition Newsroom, which accumulates in works during the exhibition period. Lubich has invited colleagues to contribute works that offer their perspective on the (news) world right now. The news media is flooded with a stream of information.
How do artists experience this flow? What conversations are sparked?
Thinking back to the Mail Art tradition, the artists will, based on certain dogmas, continuously send works to Lubich, who will then add the works to the exhibition. On the occasion of Copenhagen Photo Festival 2025, Gallery 1,4 m3's exhibition space will be expanded to include the space behind the window. It will be available during the festival days and selected days afterwards.

About Galleri 1,4 m3
Galleri 1,4 m3 is an artist-run non-profit exhibition space that is open 24 hours a day. Normally, the exhibition space consists of a street window measuring 2.16 x 1.13 x 0.57 meters - hence the name 1,4 m3. It is thus always open to the people of the city. Gallery 1,4 m3's ambition is for the exhibitions to be an open meeting place for artistic dialog at street level. Because when art is at street level, we expect even more people to benefit from art's ability to initiate dialog; work-related and site-specific, and also in relation to the entire society and the world we live in. We are driven by a passion to make more art accessible to everyone.

Til vinduesudstillingsstedet Galleri 1,4 m3 initierer kunstner Sara Lubich gruppeudstillingen Newsroom, der i udstillingsperioden akkumulerer i værker. Lubich har inviteret kollegaer til at bidrage med værker, der giver deres blik på (nyheds)verdenen netop nu. Nyhedsmedierne oversvømmes og oversvømmer med en strøm af information.
Hvordan oplever kunstnere denne strøm? Hvilke samtaler sættes i gang?
Med tanker ledt tilbage til Mail Art traditionen vil kunstnerne ud fra enkelte dogmer løbende sende værker til Lubich, som så tilføjer værkerne til udstillingen. I anledning af Copenhagen Photo Festival 2025 udvides Galleri 1,4 m3s udstillingsrum, sådan at rummet bag vinduet også tages i brug. Det vil være tilgængeligt i festivaldagene samt udvalgte dage efterfølgende.

Galleri 1,4 m3 er et kunstnerdrevet nonprofit udstillingssted, der har åbent 24 timer i døgnet. Normalt består udstillingsstedet blot af et gadevindue, der måler 2,16 x 1,13 x 0,57 meter - deraf navnet 1,4 m3. Det er således altid åbent for byens folk. Galleri 1,4 m3s ambition er, at udstillingerne skal være et åbent mødested for kunstnerisk dialog på gadeplan. For når kunsten er i direkte gadeplan, forventer vi at endnu flere får glæde af kunstens evne til at sætte dialog i gang; værknært og stedspecifikt, og også i relation til hele samfundet og den verden vi lever i. Vi er drevet af en passion for at mere kunst skal være tilgængelig for alle.
