Meet the jurors

Visual artist and art photographer
Balder Olrik was born into a family of scientists in Copenhagen. He entered the Royal Academy of Art, age 16 in 1982 and worked as painter for 16 years, exhibiting numerous times, in both Europe and USA. Then followed by a break of 16 years where he mainly investigated the human behaviour and psychology in online environments and made several companies, working in this field.
Balder Olrik now works as an art photographer and art critic.
Exhibition Manager, Fotografiska International
Johan Vikner is born in Sundsvall, Sweden and studied art history and linguistics at the universities of Stockholm and Uppsala. He is the Exhibition Manager at Fotografiska International, working with photographers and artists such as Patrick Demarchelier, Chen Man, Andres Serrano and Sarah Moon.
Publisher, Curator, Agent
Markus Hartmann was born into a family of printers & publishers in Berlin. After a brief involvement with photography he returned to the family profession and helped to built first Edition Cantz then Hatje Cantz into one of the better art book publishers in Europe. In 2013 he left to start his own company with his wife Angelika Hartmann and have since 2014 been realizing and curating exhibitions. „Hartmann Books“ was started in 2016 and helps to spreads knowledge about artists and their work.
Hartmann is a regular juror at photo festivals always searching for the new, unseen and noteworthy.
