The official opening of this year’s Copenhagen Photo Festival at the Royal Theatre is just one month away and we cannot wait to see you for the official opening event at The Royal Danish Theatre 11 June!

From 11–21 June, CPF connects all photography lovers in Copenhagen and renowned artists world-wide for its 17th edition.

We cannot wait to celebrate the opening of the festival with spectacular exhibitions at the theatre by highlight, Magnum photographer and artist Carolyn Drake, world renowned Southafrican photographer Roger Ballen, Norwegian documentarist Helge Skodvin, Swedish photographer and artist Maja Daniels and Irish-British artists and photographer Rhiannon Adam at the Royal Danish Theatre.

This year’s theme, Forestillinger | Scenarios, invites us to imagine new worlds, challenge perspectives, and explore the powerful role images play in shaping how we see ourselves and each other. The festival once again takes place at The Royal Danish Theatre and across the city, with exhibitions and events spread throughout Copenhagen.

With more than 50 exhibitions and countless events across the city of Copenhagen stretching out to Malmö, Humlebæk, Elsinore and Lyngby thanks to our 30+ partner venues the festival offers something for photography connoisseurs, enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
