EVENT · Talk: Mette Sandbye in conversation with Lasse Bruun, Rosalina Kruse Serup, and Trine Stuwe

Formation Gallery Gasværksvej 9, 1656 København V, Danmark

During the festival the gallery will host a talk with the exhibiting artists from the group shoe “Apertures” Lasse Bruun, Rosalina Kruse Serup, and Trine Stuwe in conversation with Professor and photography expert Mette Sandbye. The starting point in this talk will be the exploration of what the photographic medium is today, now that the medium borders on both virtual and physical spaces and platforms. The artists work in a field combining newer digital techniques such as photogrammetry, 3D-printing and digital data harvest from the web while working towards a physical object. The result is very tactile works on textile, mirror and canvas collages, all of which show new sides of the possibilities of the photographic medium. The talk will revolve around methods and thoughts on working in the extended field between photo and artistic physical creation, providing the audience with a new perspective on the possibilities of photography.

EVENT · CPF at M/S: the sea, the climate and the camera

M/S Museet for Søfart Ny Kronborgvej 1, Helsingør, Danmark

Diver and underwater photographer Helene-Julie Zofia Paamand has made it her mission to fight for the wonderful marine environment that we risk to lose. The camera is her weapon, and with it, she shows us how marine nature is under pressure because of our modern lifestyle. As a diver she can give us an insight in areas that the rest of us cannot visit. See her beautiful pictures and hear about how photography can raise awareness in a conversation between Helene-Julie og M/S Head of Research and Exhibitions Sarah Giersing.
