Try one of the oldest forms of photography. With Pinhole photography we are using a very primitive camera without any kind of lens. Instead, a ‘pinhole’ is used. Photography with a pinhole camera is very simple, but it requires a tripod and some basic knowledge of light and exposure. In this workshop, black and white film is used. 

Pinhole images have a special aesthetic. They are blurry and have lower contrast than images from your iPhone. As with all images, they can be manipulated digitally before being printed.

Programme: 

• We start with some background and theory, adapted to the participants’ starting point.
• We explore Copenhagen with Camera and Film. Bring your own. If you don’t have a pinhole camera, you can     borrow one (for a deposit, which is refunded at the end of the day). A roll of film is included.
• We meet again at 12 for lunch
• We develop film
• We scan the film
• We print and talk about the images

Time: 9 AM to 6 PM
Number of participants: maximum 2 participants
Price: kr. 1.000 (incl. Moms) per participant

The workshop is run by Mesimarja Photographic Werkstatt with Lars Molte Jakobsen. Lars has extensive experience with analogue black and white film photography and he also has experience with alternative photographic processes.

Pinhole fotografering foregår i et meget primitiv kamera uden nogen form for linse. I stedet anvendes et ’nålehul’. Fotografering med et pinhole-kamera er i princippet meget simpelt, men det anvendes et ’nålehul’. Fotografering med et pinhole-kamera er i princippet meget simpelt, men det kræver et stativ og lidt fundamental viden om lys og eksponering. I denne workshop anvendes film.

Pinhole-billeder har en særlig æstetik. De er slørede og med lavere kontrast en billeder fra din
iphone. Som med alle billeder, kan de manipuleres digitalt før de printes.

Program:
• Vi starter med lidt baggrund og teori, tilpasset deltagernes udgangspunkt.
• Vi går på opdagelse i København med Kamera og film. Medbring dit eget. Hvis du ikke har et
pinhole-kamera kan du låne et (mod depositum, der betales tilbage ved dagens afslutning). En
rulle film er inkluderet.
• Vi mødes igen kl. 12 til frokost
• Vi fremkalder film
• Vi scanner film
• Vi printer og taler om billederne
