Artist talk // Lærke Posselt

Artist talk // 17:00 - 18:00

Experience one of Denmark's most renowned photographers on the occasion of the current exhibition in Vandrehallen "I turn around and look".

In the exhibition, Lærke Posselt enters into an artistic dialogue with the poet Søren R. Fauth. Together and separately, through photography and words, respectively, they have investigated what it means to see. To see the other. To see oneself and the world through the other. The German poet Rainer Maria Rilke is for both of them a point of reference in the question, is it possible to see the world anew and thereby change one's life?

At the artist talk, you can experience Lærke Posselt talk about her photographic work and the movement towards literature that she has taken in this exhibition. You will hear about the collaboration between her and the poet Søren R. Fauth, and how the artistic meeting contributes to the experience that you as a viewer and reader are left with.

Lærke Posselt is a photographer and visual artist. She has received several awards, including World Press Photo (2012) Pictures of the Year international (2012) and the Crown Prince Couple's Star Sprinkle Award (2014). Her works have been exhibited in e.g. Øksnehallen, at the Fotografisk Center, Holstebro Art Museum, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Willumsens Museum and the Women's Museum (now: KØN).

The artist talk is held on the occasion of Grundtvig High School's Photo Festival 2023 (18 – 24 June), which focuses on contemporary Danish photography with exhibitions, workshops and presentations by a number of leading photographers.
