Panel discussion // A sustainable art’s practice – moderated by Imagine 5

Meet up // Programme June 1st 2023, 1 - 4pm

*READ THE PROGRAMME BELOW*

Copenhagen Photo Festival is organising a two-day programme in collaboration with Futures Photography Platform on June 1st-2nd 2023.  The overarching theme of 2023 is REWILDING, paying homage to the fact that Copenhagen has been appointed World Capital of Architecture in 2023 by UNESCO .

CPF always put great focus on the architectural and spatial aspects when selecting artists and when designing the specific exhibition. Our considerations are always led by our principle of sustainability, finding creative ways to blur the border between our exhibitions and the nature and atmosphere of our exhibition park at Refshaleøen in Central Copenhagen. Focusing on photography, architecture and sustainability is therefore at the core of our DNA as a photo festival.

The programme takes place in a double tipi in the middle of our rewilded exhibition park in a post-industrial shipyard district of Copenhagen. This exhibition park is the heart of the festival which in total counts more than 40 exhibitions at collaborating galleries, museums and cultural institutions in Copenhagen and southern Sweden. For 11 days, photography is on the agenda through exhibitions, workshops, talks, photobook markets and more.
