Satellite Exhibitions

The satellite programme is for institutions, photographers and visual artists interested in becoming part of Copenhagen Photo Festival’s programme of 2020 – and who have their own space available. As part of the satellite programme, you will be part of the festival’s communication and mediation strategy and get the chance to meet important actors within the Scandinavian photo and art scene.

In order to be part of the satellite programme, you must present a photo exhibition in the festival period. Both established as well as alternative venues, such as cafées, libraries, culture houses etc., can apply. You can also apply as a photographer and/or visual artists, but Copenhagen Photo Festival cannot provide a location for you. The exhibition can exceed the festival period, but should be open between June 4-14 2020.

As an exhibition partner you are invited to different events during the festival, where you get the chance to meet important actors from the Scandinavian photo and art scene as well as international photographers and visual artists. You will also be part of the festival’s strategy for mediation and communication via our programme, ads, press and social channels.

In 2020 our festival centre will again be located at Refshaleøen, while the festival’s satellite exhibition will be spread out over most of Copenhagen and Southern Sweden. The satellite programme and our exhibition partners are all part of creating a versatile programme presenting the many facets of photography to both connoisseurs and the general public –  as well as bulding bridges between both genres and institutions.
