Copenhagen Photo Festival

Copenhagen Photo Festival has been brimming with creativity, experimentation and top quality exhibitions. At our festival centre carefully selected artists turned a 10,000 m2 wasteland into an innovative exhibition park filled with the best of photography and lens-based art. The exhibition park connected the art experience with social events and open-air music supplied by DJ’s.

The festival centre is now closed, but the Copenhagen Photo Festival continues until 30 June together with CPF Official Partners in galleries and cultural institutions all around Copenhagen.

Solo Artists

The six solo artists at Copenhagen Photo Festival are selected as this year's headliners of our three focal points: Framing Identity, Framing Society and Framing Vision. They are our way of opening up windows to other worlds and serve the purpose of showcasing photography across genres, by focusing on the individual, society and art.

Out of 642 projects, and thereof 12 shortlisted, the six chosen artists stand as the epitome of each category.

CPF Official Partners

The Official CPF Exhibition Programme is for institutions, photographers and visual artists who have their own space available for exhibiting. In 2021, our Exhibition Park will be located at Refshaleøen, while the broader Official Programme will span most of Copenhagen and Southern Sweden. Our Official Programme Partners further enrich the festival by presenting the many facets of photography to both connoisseurs and the general public.

Futures Nordic Talents

Since 2017, FUTURES, a photography platform co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, has nurtured the development of emerging talents selected by partner art institutions and festivals across Europe.

For its fourth edition, Copenhagen Photo Festival joined FUTURES and created a new programme focusing on Nordic talent: FUTURES NORDIC TALENTS.
