Screening // ‘Men jeg er jo bare et menneske’

Get a deeper insight into the film aspect at Fatamorgana with two specially curated film screenings of the student’s work. The first evening (June 9) will focus on the current students and the work they’ve made during the last 4-8 months. The students will be there to share experiences, thoughts and insights into the way they themselves as well as their work has progressed during their time at Fatamorgana. The second evening (June 10) will focus on alumnis from Fatamorgana. Looking through the archives, old students from the school have curated a programme of short films that have been made at the school between 2005 and 2022. The title ‘Men jeg er jo bare et menneske’ means ‘But I am only human’ and it refers to the fragile and insecure state of mind that many students recognise from working with a media where mistakes are inevitable. The title also deals with accepting your own shortcomings as an artist and the focus on what it means to be human, which is a common theme in movies at Fatamorgana.
