Copenhagen Photo Festival is looking for interns who can offer creative input, professionalism and who loves to get involved!

As an intern with us, you will have a say in the realization of a comprehensive cultural event with a large number of partners and a wide range of activities. You will gain in-depth experience with culture and event production from A to Z and be equipped to be able to take part in independent projects in the future.

You can test your academic knowledge and educational background with assignments in a practical and creative context –  and of course a broad insight into the world of photography and art. Here are some of the tasks you can explore during your internship:

  • Event and exhibition
  • Newsletters and their optimization
  • Web and SoMe content
  • Program development and coordination
  • Production

WHAT DO WE EXPECT OF YOU?

You study communication, media, art history or visual culture. The most important thing, however, is that you are motivated and want to bring your skills and experiences, views and ideas into play in our small team.

We work unpretentiously, but dedicatedly, and therefore we need you to be responsible, structured and able to handle and prioritize between parallel tasks. You communicate fluently in Danish and English, in writing as well as orally.

An internship with us is min. 15 hours a week from September to December 2022. We can offer flexible working hours in relation to your study, but you must expect that we need a greater commitment around major deadlines and open calls. Unfortunately we can not offer salary in connection with the practice.

Send your application and a CV, where you elaborate on which internship assignments are of interest to you, an we would love to read why and how you want to approach them. Deadline May 16 at 12 to info@copenhagenphotofestival.com

We look forward to hearing from you!

  • Produktion

Exhibition assistant

The heart of the festival is beating at Refshaleøen where the centre is the vibrant hub for all our programme activities, events and exhibitions. To create a great experience for our guests and participants and make all work well around the clock, we count on our outgoing exhibition assistants.

The team of exhibition assistants move around to guide the guests, keep an eye on the exhibitions, help the exhibitors and make sure that the place is in shape and ready every day to host our activities. If you are service-minded, at ease with big crowds and like making things happen, this is a place for you.

Info Desk/Tickets Sales

We host and welcome a big number of international and local guests, exhibitors and programme participants, and we want them to feel welcomed, well-informed and ready for their experience at the Festival Centre, both indoors and outdoors. We run two info desks/ticket-sales-points, where a small and dedicated team of volunteers will be welcoming and guiding the audience, selling tickets.

It is your responsibility to inform the visitors about the festival and its exhibitions and guide them in the right direction. If you like having responsibility and you’re an outgoing and service-minded person, we’re looking for you. Good English skills are a must, since you’ll be dealing with our international guests. Speaking Danish is a big plus.

Events/Runners

We believe that good events create a good experience for both our guests and programme participants. We need your attitude and your smile to make our events happen during the 11 days of the festival.

The most important thing is to be service-minded and flexible. Along with your co-volunteers you will make sure that the event runs smoothly, the place is clean and tidy, and whatever help is needed at a given moment. Through volunteering for this position you will gain a lot of experience and organizing social events will feel like a piece of cake after that!

Production Assistants

Our valuable production assistants are helping with all festival preparations in the Photo Centre at Refshaleøen. We need strong and reliable people who are not afraid of lifting or other physical tasks to help build up the festival center beforehand and take it down afterwards.

If you are interested in event/venue production and want to learn what’s needed to make an 11-day international festival, this is a shift for you.

Super CPF Volunteer

As a Super CPFVolunteer, you can take assignments that require more responsibilities and you will play a more important role in our team. You can combine at least six (6) shifts according to your availability and preferences.
