All in All
31. May - 29. June
All in All is an exhibtion showing a selection of the work from Jeanette Land Schou, all shot within the last couple of years. Starting off with the series “Memento” from the book of same name – and to the still lifes and landscapes from this year.
Characteristic of the photographs is the interest for the city’s outlying areas, it’s terrain vague, but also for the meaning of things, shown as still life. Here you can see inspiration from both the European tradition and the Japanese ikebana. Jeanette Land Schou’s photographs insist on a presence which opens the eyes of the spectator.
“I seek the spectacular in the unremarkable, the exotic in the local. With my photos I want to depict familiar surroundings in new lights and discover the unseen worlds that may be hidden in a thicket.”
