Argentina based Dana Balajovsky was invited to exhibit in Copenhagen Photo Festivals Photo City with 2018 project ‘What is it to be somebody’. She studied at Andy Goldstein’s Creative Photography school and did an International Masters in contemporary photography at EFTI, Madrid.
‘What is it to be somebody’ is a poetic journey into the mind where melancholy, longing and separation provokes artistic reflections into identity and existence in a time where human emotion is increasingly exchanged through digital channels.
Balajovskys concern lies with the relationship between the individual subject and the surrounding world. Often involving her own life, therefore merging the line between documentary and fiction to tell her story.
