Culture Night at VÆKST – step into our archive
Join us for an evening of creativity, mulled wine and a pop-up exhibition event 10 October at our venue VÆKST at Refshaløen in connection with this year’s Culture Night in Copenhagen. This evening we invite you to step into our container-based exhibition venue VÆKST, explore our pop-up exhibition ‘Archive Sale’ – a curated selection of artworks and books from past festivals and a free and open creative workshop studio with artist Kitti Szabo.
Bring home a piece from the festival
At this year’s Culture Night we look forward to seeing you for an inspiring pop up exhibition where you can dive into some pieces from our archive that we now exclusively offer for sale. Among the selected artworks are delicate silk prints by Elizabeth Pedinotti Haynes, strong artworks by Andreas Hopfgarten from his series “Where there is a will…”, a piece by Adrian Fish from his series about the Stasi Archives and original signed works on brushed aluminum by Tirdad Aghakhani. You can already now explore all the pieces online and find your favourites!
Free workshop with artist Kitti Szabo
Besides our pop-up gallery, we invite you to join our Mixed Media Collage Workshop, breathing new life into postcards, posters and old festival prints . Your host, Kitti Szabó, is a Hungarian artist specializing in mixed-media collage, and with over 5 years of experience, she not only creates her own artworks but also loves guiding others through the creative process. No prior experience is needed, just bring your openness and playful spirit, and you’ll take home your very own finished collage masterpiece!
