Experience world-class photography at The Old Stage during Copenhagen Photo Festival 2026
Copenhagen Photo Festival’s main exhibition and events takes place in the spectacular foyer of the Royal Danish Theater’s Old Stage. From June 11 2026, immerse yourself in a vibrant celebration of photography featuring international exhibitions, thought-provoking talks, and engaging events.
The festival ticket will give you access to an extensive exhibition and activity program inside The Royal Danish Theatre – an unconventional exhibition setting that in itself embraces 150 years of cultural history.
HIGHLIGHT CAROLYN DRAKE
It is with great excitement that Copenhagen Photo Festival announces acclaimed American artist and Magnum photographer Carolyn Drake as the exhibition highlight at the Royal Danish Theater in the centre of Copenhagen from 11 to 17 June 2026. It will be the first time that a Nordic audience can experience the award-winning artist with an extensive solo exhibition.
During the opening days of the festival, Drake will participate in various activities for both the public and professionals – full program is announced late april 2026.
SOLO ARTISTS & SELECTEES 2026
In addition to Carolyn Drake, a series of solo exhibitions by international photographers is presented, all of which are in line with this year’s festival theme ‘Forestillinger | Scenarios’. The four selected photographers of the festival’s annual open call are:

At the festival center you can experience conversations, talks and masterclasses with this year’s exhibiting and external artists, go on guided tours, explore the festival’s annual two day photo market and photo scene.
