Art Walk, Vesterbro
15. June 2019 15:00 - 17:30
Does fine art photography get a different meaning and a different expression when it is placed in exhibition spaces that were previously used as slaughterhouses in Kødbyen in Vesterbro? Or when the fine art photography is placed in the old machine center in Carlsberg Byen?
Join Copenhagen Photo Festival on a guided art walk, where we visit the photo exhibitions together to explore the thoughts behind the works. We investigate the interaction between fine art photography and old, historic locations in former industrial quarters on Vesterbro. We will also visit a number of exhibition spaces that are known for their focus on contemporary photography.
On this tour, we visit:
Carlsberg Byens Galleri og Kunstsalon [meeting point at 14.00] and a selection of their many exhibitions.
Galleri Bo Bjerggaard and the exhibition Evening Land with the Danish artist Per Bak Jensen.
Fotografisk Center and the exhibition Encounters – Nordic Photography Beyond Borders with the five nordic contemporary artists Nanna Debois Buhl (DK), Bára Kristinsdottir (IS), Sandra Mujinga (NO), Johannes Samuelsson (SE) og Miia Autio (FI).
