In Fourth Person / In Quarta Persona | Martin Errichiello & Filippo Menichetti (IT)
In Fourth Person / In Quarta Persona is a project by two photographers Martin Errichiello and Filippo Menichett. Here they explore the mythic, southern Calabria region. For two years they travelled through the region and its history, and the project is a research on the anthropological, geopolitical and environmental transformation that has interested Italy over the last 50 years. Since the 60s Italy’s cultural and political powers established an extensive process of transformation of territories and traditions. In the name of progress, the population of Calabria and the natural landscape were subjugated. ‘In Fourth Person’ is composed of collected traces of what has been forgotten and consists of both photographs, sound, video and archive material – all of which the audience can explore in the outdoor exhibition in the wilderness of Gasværkssgrunden.
Filippo Menichetti (f. 1986) and Martin Errichiello (f. 1987) won Premio Pesaresi 2016 and Showoff 2016, and they have been exhibited at Format Festival 2017, Derby (UK), and was published in Lens Culture, Fotograf Magazine and Internazionale among others.
