Copenhagen Photo Festival has developed an online educational platform, efterbilleder.dk, for photography for 4th to 10th graders in primary school with the support from Nordea-fonden. Teachers and students can here find educational material that deals with photography from a historical, analytical and cultural perspective. The platform combines practice, theory and image analysis in thematic tasks. It can for example be assignments about friendship, fan culture, subcultures, bullying, family, identity, politics and social change. The goal is to inspire children and make them learn about photography as a communicative medium. The platform is a part of Copenhagen Photo Festival’s vision to strengthen our ability to view photography as a form of expression.
In addition Copenhagen Photo Festival also offers workshops and guided tours of Photo City for children and young people during the festival. To learn more, please feel free to contact festival director Maja Dyrehauge Gregersen
